You should have received your tool-kit in an earlier email. Please help us publicize this outstanding exhibition by using it. Note that the exhibit runs from April 7th – June 11th (pick-up day) it was posted incorrectly in the tool-kit PDF. Please remember to change that date when you send your press releases and invitations. Drop off of entries is Saturday, April 1st from 10am-12pm with a talk by our juror, CarolAnn Brown at 2pm. This is a great opportunity to visit the museum for a few hours. Plan to attend this and most importantly the annual meeting and awards ceremony on Sunday April 9th at 3pm in the DeBoest Lecture Hall. We will be recognizing and welcoming six new members this year. The exhibit has been extended an extra week to June 11 which is the new pick up day.

The Board is pleased to announce that our Annual Member Exhibition will be held at the Brown County Art Gallery in Nashville this fall. Look for the prospectus in September with all of the exhibit information. Mark your calendars for the opening and awards on Sunday November 5th. We are expecting record participation with this being our last centennial event of the year. Stay tuned for details about special activities planned to celebrate our amazing 100 year history, including a new ‘Member’s Choice’ award.

The next ‘jurying of new members’ will be on Sunday, May 7th. Please spread the word to qualified artist friends. Direct them to the website Apply – Indiana Artists Indiana Artists  and have them contact Michael McAuley with questions via email:

On February 25th, Laurie Wright hosted a presentation on photographing, matting and framing art work and giclee printing to attendees composed of IN/A members and non-members. There will be more opportunities in the future of this type to educate and socialize with other members.

Don’t forget to post and share your artwork, accomplishments and artistic opportunities on the IN/A Facebook page and group. If you do not have a Facebook account it is worth it to create one. It is a great way to network  and see what other members are up to without leaving your house.  IN/A FACEBOOK PAGE

James Hubbard and April Willy were interviewed on the Art of the Matter. March 25th at 7 a.m. is the first public airing and March 30th 9 p.m. is the second airing.  March 27th the podcast will be posted to the WFYI website.

MARCH 2017

This is my last month as president and surprisingly enough, I have enjoyed the two year term much more than expected! I hope to encourage more of you to consider getting involved. Your help is needed if we are going to not only continue on for another hundred years, but to offer more to our membership and garner more recognition for IN/A.  It is an exciting time to be a visual artist in Indiana and to be a part of such a distinguished organization.

With that being said, we truly welcome your input and encourage you to attend board meetings any time. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9th at 10am at French Bleu Gallery in Carmel’s Arts & Design District.

I hope to see you all at the IMA on April 9th!

April Willy
